A Church Reborn

Paul and Christie Kurth from the Salvation Army have been on an amazing journey. They have had the task of overseeing a corps close down in Berkeley and beginning again with a clean sheet of paper at a new location. From a traditional church setting, the "church" is a now a modern, growing coffee shop in Wentworth St Port Kembla. Read a short, (but scary) account of this adventure.  The coffee shop has its official opening March 16th. Drop in (Tuesdays to Saturday 7am to after lunch) and ask how they went through it all.

A man with a Mission (or few!)

John Vidler is the driver behind the Illawarra Missions Day (see events section below) . He has written a great testimony where he shares his passion for evangelism and mission. It's both humbling and encouraging. Get to know John, be involved in the Missions Day and check out what God is doing in the world today through people just like us.

"You don't know what you've got"

These words were spoken in response to the Rise up event some years ago by the then Mayor of Wollongong, Alex Darling. See the  'Report to the NSW Parliament . I wonder if the mayor was right, we just don't know what we've got until we work together.
