Changes to the Illawarra Pastors Network

There have been some significant changes to the Illawarra Pastors Network.

The board is now:
Darryl Stewart: Coordinator (ex CMA, and Baptist pastor plus industry experience)
Warwick Marsh: Fatherhood Foundation and member of other national bodies.
Lloyd Ollerenshaw: Pastor of Shellharbour City Baptist Church.
Jeff Stacey: Long time member of the network, and Bible and revival researcher.
Maree Szalla: Experienced 'doer' from the Figtree Church of Christ.
John Cornford: Retired Anglican canon.

The name of the network has been changed to "KINGDOM CONNECTIONS ILLAWARRA: A Network of Christian Leaders and Churches".
This has been done for three main reasons:
1. The network is made of a diversity of Christian leaders, not just full time ministers.
2. The name acknowledges the focus of Jesus teaching ministry: the Kingdom of God.
3. There was some confusion between this network and the Illawarra Prayer Network, run by Derek Thompson.

There is a new website which had to be built in a hurry due to stability issues with the old website. It was put together with faithful and sacrificial help by Megan Whittington and "a friend from around the corner".

The doctrinal foundation remains unchanged but there has been an attempt to simplify it and focus on the basics of what unites us.

All feedback invited. Email any suggested improvements concerning any aspect of the network to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
The new board will review all comments along with the results of an earlier survey that was distributed in November 2011.

Please provide any testimonies for the testimonies page. We aim to encourage faith in our readers.

The Wollongong Gospel Choir are available for ministry in our churches or for special events. (See also resources page for further information)

The Catholic church has issued a statement to guide their members on discerning how to vote in the upcoming elections; "Vote for the common good".

There are churches in the region with healing ministries. Another healing ministry, Sozo ANZ  headed up by Dr Kate Jutson may be available to work in local churches. Expressions of interest are invited.
