At the recent National Gathering in Sydney, a central theme stood out from the many stories from around the country and around he world:
The place of payer and unity of believers in a particular location has a huge impact.

A few quotes from Day 1:
46 000 black African people recently had an all night prayer meeting in London.
There is a new Reformation happening in the UK.
Our 'place' (location) matters to God. We are to take responsibility for it.
Knowing your mission calling is about as important as knowing Jesus.
Your church is not God's gift to the city, the body of Christ is.
Christian leaders (generally) don't know what's going on in their communities.
We have people stop on the street to hear Christians worshiping.
A church is measured by sending capacity, not seating capacity.
Renewal starts from the inside out.
Let go of denominational survival and get a kingdom perspective.
Build new cross denominational relationships.
There is an overwhelming demand for schools of prayer in Australia.
There was trust (amongst leaders) because they had seen our brokenness... you can't have breakthrough without corporate brokenness
Recordings of this key national event will be available shortly.

The conservative minister asked: "How do you work with people you don't agree with?"
The gregarious old pastor answered with another question: "Are you married?"

The Case for Christ Movie: Currently Running at Shellharbour. Follow link for sessions.
A hard-driving journalist, Lee Strobel was exactly where he expected to be at work: on top. His award-winning investigative reporting recently earned him a promotion to legal editor at the Chicago Tribune. But things weren't going nearly as well at home where his wife Leslie's newfound faith in Christ went against everything Lee believed-or didn't believe-as an avowed atheist. Utilising his journalistic and legal training, Lee begins a quest to debunk the claims of Christianity in order to save his crumbling marriage. Chasing down the biggest story of his career, Lee comes face-to-face with unexpected results that could change everything he knows to be true.
Based on Lee Strobel's award-winning bestselling book and starring Mike Vogel, Erika Christensen, Faye Dunaway, and Robert Forster, THE CASE FOR CHRIST opens in cinemas May 4 - A movie for anyone who has ever pondered the existence of God...and what role He could play in their lives.
The more people who go to see this, the longer it will run and the more will see it. It's very good, and a great evangelistic opportunity right on our doorstep.

Sat May 27th National Day of Thanks

Australia's National Day of Thanks is a unique opportunity for Australians  to celebrate and give thanks for our God given heritage as a nation, and to demonstrate the values of honour, respect, thankfulness and gratitude towards our fellow man.  It is a day for Australians to pause as a nation and say thank you to God and to each other for those many things we often take for granted, those things that really make our lives worth living.  Let us use this National Day each year to be a blessing to those who have been a blessing to us.
Encouragement from Colin Buchanan This years focus is on our 'tradies'
