FIGHTING FOR OUR DAUGHTERS

For the last 7 years, a team of women called City Women have been meeting in Toowoomba and embarking on a journey to see how women can work together for the betterment of their city.  Their goal has been to make their city a better place for girls and women through unity and mission. Through City Women 18 ministries have been born, over 250 volunteers from many different churches have been released and thousands of girls and women's lives have been impacted. They believe however they are only scraping the surface when it comes to meeting the needs of the women and girls of their city.

They are sensing the leading of the Lord to develop a national network to encourage the unity and mission of women in other towns and cities. As a first step towards that aim they are issuing an invitation for key women to come together in Toowoomba in February to discuss, pray and find a way forward together. Towards that end a National Forum will be held from 6.00PM on Wednesday 27th February till 10.00AM on Saturday 2nd March 2013.  They will be providing a pick up service from, and returning to, Brisbane Airport for those intending to come. A registration fee of $90 which will cover lunches and dinners will be charged. A number of different billeting and accommodation packages are also available.

Sessions at the forum will include:
. The state of women and girls in our nation
. How can a unified church heal the pain of a town or city
. What would a national network look like
. Old ways that need to be confronted
. Plus lots of discussion

City Women is part of the One Heart network in Australia, a network with which the Australian Prayer Network is also associated. We are very familiar with the amazing work that is being done by City Women in Toowoomba and have no hesitation in encouraging women with a heart to reach out and impact the girls and women of their own community to prayerfully consider attending the Forum.
